THE CABIN IN THE WOODS is written and produced by nerd god, Joss Whedon (Buffy, Firefly, THE AVENGERS) and stars Chris Hemsworth (before he was Thor), Fran Kranz (Dollhouse... Yeah, I watched it) and a bunch of other people I don't know yet.
As for the trailer... I don't really know what the f*ck is happening, and I like that a lot. I'm in.
